Help Me Title My Next Book

helpI need your help!  I heard from my publisher today on my next book.  The proposal was submitted under “Simply Jesus: Detox for the Overly Religious”.  Unfortunately there is a book already published with the title “Simply Jesus” so we are back to the drawing board.  They suggested “Simple Path:  Live, Love, and leave like Jesus”.  I pushed back because the title seems a little new age, at least the “Simple Path” part.  Can you help me?  Here are some other thoughts:

  1. Detox for the Overly Religious
  2. Losing my religion…finding the Jesus Way
  3. Simple Path:  Live, Love, and Leave Like Jesus
  4. Show Me Your Way!
  5. Show Me Your Way:  Discovering the Simplicity of Jesus
  6. Jesus Only:  Detox for the Overly Religious
  7. The Jesus Way: Detox for the Overly Religious 
  8. Rediscovering Jesus and His Ways
  9. Detox for the Overly Religious:  Rediscovering the Simplicity of Jesus and HIs Ways
  10. Rediscovering the Simplicity of Jesus:  Detox For the Overly Religious
  11. Finding the Jesus Way
  12. The Simple Path: Finding the Jesus Way

Give me your feedback…I really want something with some zag to it.  The book is journey into the simplicity of Jesus and his ways around my definition of what it means to be a follower of Jesus who is one who lives like Jesus, loves like Jesus, and leaves what Jesus left behind (does who live like him and love like him).

    I also really like #9…I just like Live, Love, Leave…that is just very authentic to how you live your life.

    I like #2. Will throw in a couple others…
    Find the cure: Detox for the overly religious
    Cure the addiction: Detox for the overly religious

    and you could have a big Rx on the front of the book!! OK–that’s all the creativity I have 😉

    Maybe something like Just Jesus: Detox for the Overly Religious (I really like the Detox part).

    I like #7, it has the hook of a catchy title, and also gives the reader a little something in the sub.

    That said, I’d be interested in the book if you used either #1 or #9.
