I don’t know where to begin or what to say. Tonight at 12:00 am my daughter’s fiance Orry Howe will depart Camp Lejune, North Carolina making his way to Afghanistan with the few, the proud, the Marines. He will be part of our surge serving in southern Afghanistan. I’ve known Orry most of his life. It’s hard to believe the little boy I once baptized as his pastor is now a man who is willing to lay it on the line for the very freedoms we enjoy and often take for granted. Once again I will find myself tuned in at a heighten level the the new from that part of the country. Each day I will pray for peace on earth and for God’s kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven. We will long for the nine months to come and go. We look forward to the day our family will be reunited and we have the good pleasure and blessing of enjoying our now adult children and those they love so much. We love you Orry and Amanda!
